Carving space for earthwhere
steel & concrete
abound

The natural world is not an accessory but a necessity, and we can implement that in our cities together
Our Mission
Nature shouldnot be
an afterthought
in the places we live.
We are exploring new ways to bring nature into the everyday urban environment—not simply as decoration, but as infrastructure for climate resilience, biodiversity, wellbeing, and belonging. We work through community-led experimentation, workshops, storytelling, and scaled interventions to learn what is possible and build toward a more nature-inclusive city.
The Journey
HOW WE GOT HERE

A Vision
At first a dream, little scrawls of possibility—how could cities thrive with natural ecosystems side by side?

“Every great movement starts with a single step—ours began with a sketch and a dream.”
THE PROCESS
FOUR KEY
STEPS
01
LISTEN
We begin by understanding communities and their relationship with nature. Through surveys, interviews, and conversations, we gather insights that shape our approach.
02
IMAGINE
Together, we envision what nature-inclusive spaces could look like. We explore possibilities and dream of greener futures with the community.
03
DESIGN
We co-create designs that blend biophilic principles with community aspirations. Every detail brings nature back meaningfully.
04
TRANSFORM
We implement interventions that turn neglected corners into living sanctuaries. Hands-on work with communities brings our shared vision to life.
Research Insights
What we are learning
Real statements from surveys and interviews that shape our approach.
"Disconnected from nature"
Honestly, I don't think I have actually touched a tree or even a plant in years. I think I just take pictures when I see them.
— Urban resident, Survey response
"A moment of refreshment"
I have a son, and because of him, I find myself in a pocket garden once in a while, and that moment after a week of work has actually been more refreshing than I have ever said out loud.
— Parent, Interview
"Everyone knows it"
I know it, everyone does, the green areas are much cooler than anywhere else.
— Community member, Survey response
Moments like this shaped Acaica's approach: before redesigning spaces, we want to understand people's relationship with nature.

I see a future where people will know more than four walled, silo stacked apartments but the touch of a tree's bark, the smooth and sharp edges of stones, the softness of shrubs, and what it means to care for the world outside our own homes together.
Priscillia is a climate conscious youth innovator, a creative thinker, and a student of international relations who is very interested in the ways our world converges. She is passionate about reimagining the relationship between people, and the environment.
She founded Acaica while studying at Altınbaş university, driven by a belief that our built environments can be more ecological, interactive, and community-centred. Her vision gained greater momentum through her participation in the beVisioneers: The Mercedes-Benz Fellowship, where she developed Acaica as a youth-led, climate-conscious initiative transforming environments into living spaces that foster connection between people and nature.
